Even with an untimely and unfortunate demise, Juice WRLD had one of the greatest claim to fame’s of all time. For a long time of my recent years of life, Juice WRLD has been a staple artist for me. Especially with the struggles of confusion and puberty in junior high, Juice WRLD and his music always seemed to make it better.
Although very neglected and looked past in the rap game, Juice WRLD was undoubtedly the best freestyler to ever touch a microphone. Holding thousands of songs in the vault, Juice WRLD could take any beat or any word, and make a perfectly executed bar out of it. Collaborating with some of the most popular artists in hip-hop, such as future in the album, world on drugs, Juice WRLD did well getting his name out in a short amount of time. With not many hit songs under his belt, he released the album goodbye and good riddance, which quickly became one of the top albums of the year and held many top tracks that are still commonly listened to today. Even when you think you have heard all of his music, it’s commonplace to hear another leak on sound-cloud that is just as well performed as his top songs. Proving his undoubted talent and love for music.
A lot of his music appeals to people struggling with drug abuse, depression, and self perception problems. Having many of these problems, himself and his younger and later years, his main goal was to bring awareness to these problems so people wouldn’t suffer like he did. In his later years he had a focus to promote positivity through his new music and 999 symbol that represented the opposite of negativity. Unfortunately, he passed away to a drug overdose in 2019, but his message still resonates today.
